Travers’ Brothers Sunday Jam @ Pisgah Brewing Co. 2-12-2017
Butch Trucks, founder and drummer for the Allman Brothers Band passed away this week. On top of his legacy and talent, he was a great man, and his music has influenced us from the very begining. This Travers Sunday Jam will be a tribute to Trucks. The people of Asheville and Black Mountain are welcome to join us to celebrate his life and legacy at Pisgah Brewing Company.
This will be the 1st time in Sunday Jam history that we will have DOUBLE DRUMS!!!! The Allman Brothers Band always had two drumsets on stage, so we feel this is the appropriate way to pay tribute. Butch Trucks and Jaimoe innovated Blues, Fusion and Rock n’ Roll with their beats and rhythms.
Sunday Jam’s house drummer, Eric Travers from Travers Brothership will be joined by WNC’s own, Jeff Sipe to create a similar space that Butch and Jaimoe did. Big thanks to all of the musicians who came out to join pay tribute! Jeff Sipe, Bob Travers, Agustin Frederic, Josh Clark, Ian McIsaac, Kyle Travers, Alex Bradley, Kyle Snuffer and Melissa Autumn Raines!
