Originating in Columbia, SC, the Mountain Express Band combines many influences of modern jam together with a working knowledge of traditional bluegrass, resulting in a sound they have coined as “RhythmicallyCultivatedOrganicGroovegrass.” The sweet melodic sound of the mandolin, the trancing beat of the “Organic Rhythm Section”, and the improvisational skills shared between the guitar and bass create the Mountain Express Band unique sound. Back from a long 16 year hiatus, the band is poised to begin the second chapter of their career. Sometimes a break is inevitable. But the fire this band holds deep within their soul is about to electrify audiences with their infectious music once again! One thing is for sure, they’ll make you kick your shoes off!
