Xpand Festival 2017
Inspiration behind Xpand Fest:
Xpand Fest was created to expand your vision of all art disciplines and to celebrate their profound societal impact locally and globally. Xpand Fest provides a platform for Asheville to examine the imperceptible creativity around and how we are using the arts to improve our own community. Xpand Fest will include information on the Sustainable Development Goals created at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit and will highlight local organizations that are making conscious business decision to better our community.
On September 25, 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030. Xpand Fest gives our community the opportunity to identify our own areas in need of support and to galvanize action to create a more harmonious society.
