The Water of Life Fundraiser on Indigenous Peoples Day 10/10/16 part 2
The Water of Life Fundraiser at the Salvage Station in Asheville NC is an action to unite the people of western North Carolina, as well as our surrounding areas, to support and stand in solidarity with the Indigenous-led movement #NoDAPL at Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota. We are collecting donations and supplies to help sustain the camps throughout the winter.
The money we raise at this event will fund the purchasing of supplies needed to sustain the camps at Standing Rock throughout the winter and fund the transport of supplies gathered to the site. Donations of winter boots, +5 and below sleeping bags, building materials, insulation, alternative heat and power resources, propane tanks and heaters, bulk dry foods and meats, large canned vegetables and beans are welcome. There are supply lists also available on the camp’s Facebook pages: Sacred Stone Camp, Oceti Sakowin and Red warrior camp. More information also available at www.sacredstonecamp.org and www.NoDAPLSolidarity.org Donations to the legal defense funds can be made directly to https://fundrazr.com/d19fAf and https://www.generosity.com/fundraising/red-warrior-camp-legal-fund-nodapl
