Pink Mercury then Snozzberries LATE NIGHT @ Pisgah Brewing 6-1-2019
Mercury is the only liquid metal. Led by shapeshifting vocalist Stephanie Morgan (formerly of pop-noir powerhouse stephaniesid, and Stephanie Morgan and The Mercurists), Pink Mercury makes exploratory music within sparse structures, only some of which are predetermined, resulting in an art-pop-rock-dance-centered, but ultimately genre-bending, conversation.
“The band conjures spirits. Bjork, Pink Floyd, Billie Holiday, PJ Harvey, Aerosmith, Cocteau Twins… while maintaining sovereignty.” — Wasteland
Swirling psychedelia, funk and fusion in lively whirlwinds of sonic pleasure, The Snozzberries are Asheville’s freakiest musical pioneers.
Since their formation in fall of 2017, The Snozzberries have been building their name as the Southeast’s most electrifying live band. Their infectious grooves have been unavoidable for Asheville concert goers, who caught them headlining the Asheville Music Hall, opening for The Werks, and hosting night one of the Disco Biscuits after-parties. They’ve also expanded across the region to much acclaim.
The Snozzberries newest release, “No Evil,” comes out in January 2019. Recorded at The Eagle Room in Asheville, NC, these studio cuts reflect the band’s unique dichotomy of thoughtful bliss and visceral excitement. The boys hit the road this spring, including a performance at Sweetwater 420 Fest in Atlanta. Come join the party where the jams are fresh and the vibes are dialed in just right.
