IamAVL Pisgah Brewing – Captured Live on Ustream Taking their power duo format to a whole new level, Spiro and Nicole Nicolopoulos of The Paper Crowns formed a full electric band. Joining forces with some of Asheville’s top musicians including members of Phuncle Sam, they have cultivated a strong mix of songs, musicianship and no holds barred jamming that makes for dynamic and powerful live concert performances. Their sound is a potluck of influences including electric blues, psychedelic and Southern rock, American folk and jazz, Gospel and funk. The Paper Crowns Band mission is to deliver exceptionally crafted songs with dynamic improvisation and soulfully delivered vocals. The Paper Crowns Band includes Spiro and Nicole Nicolopoulos, David Mulder, J.D. Smith, Steve Kemble and Gus Vigo.
