Asheville’s Brown Bag Songwriting Competition 2015 promo reel

The 9th Annual Brown Band Songwriting Competition kicks off this coming Wednesday September 9th at the Asheville Music Hall. This event is hosted by the lovely Debrissa McKinney, and will continue each Wednesday thru November 25th

Brown Bag attracts first time as well as seasoned performers to compete and be heard by peers, music fans, and music industry professionals. The winners from the 12 weeks compete for over in $1000 cash and prizes at The Brown Bag Finals Showcase on Friday Dec. 4.

The brown Bag competition is proud to provide a supportive listening environment for original music and elevate the craft of songwriting!

Performers can sign up each week to compete in the Brown Bag Songwriting Competition in advance through the Brown Bag’s Facebook page or at the venue starting at 6:30 pm. 10 performers will be cleared and will put $3 into a brown lunch bag to enter the Showcase.
